Biography: 

Allan entered the service in May 1943. His basic training was in Farragut, ID. He took additional training in San Diego, CA. He was also stationed in Seattle, WA. His overseas tour of duty included stints in Iow Jima and Okinawa. He served as a radar technician on a minesweeper which helped clear landing zones for amphibs at Iwo Jima and Okinawa.
