Biography: 

Allen entered the service in January 1943. His basic training was at Farragut ID. He took additional training at Miami University, Oxford, OH. He was also at Dam Neck, VA; New Orleans; LA. His overseas tour of duty included stints in Hawaii, Okinawa, Japan and China. He served as an on-board radio operator.
