Biography: 

Civilian:
Everett was born on June 22, 1892 at Prescott, Pierce County, Wisconsin.  His father, Fred and mother, Rose, were both born in the USA.  His occupation before entry into the service was woodworker for Peterson Art Furniture Company.  At that time his residence was in Faribault, Rice County, Minnesota.  Everett returned to civilian life residing at Prescott  resuming his former occupation.

Military Service Record:
Everett enlisted on either June 4, July 15 or July 18, 1917 (according to several inconsistent record sources) at Faribault as a Private and was issued a serial number of 1,426,844.  His first assignment was with  Company B, Minnesota 2nd Infantry of  the Minnesota National Guard.  This unit was activated and on August 5, 1917 when it received its Federal status as Company B, 136th Infantry, 34th Division at Camp Cody, New Mexico.   On November 1, 1918 he transferred to  the 83rd Division.  On November 15, 1918 he transferred to Company I of the 49th Infantry.  On December 13, 1918 he was assigned to Prisoner of War Escort Company 253 (maybe 243, record inconsistent) until discharge.  On October 13, 1918 Everett embarked from Hoboken, New Jersey.  On October 23 he arrived at Liverpool, England.  On November 16, 1917 he was promoted Corporal.  On October 20, 1919 he returned to Hoboken, New York.  On October 28 he was honorably discharged as a Corporal  at Camp Dix, New Jersey.  He was reported as 0% disabled at that time.

Have received the $60. bonus but haven't my discharge papers as I had it recorded at the Court House at Faribault and failed to go get it.  

Some of the questions on the service blank I couldn't answer as I have forgotten.

If it isn't asking to much of you, perhaps you could call for my discharge.
