Biography: 

Civilian:
Hans was born on August 14, 1896 at Northfield, Rice County, Minnesota.  He lists his residence at the time of induction as Northfield.

Military Service Record:
Hans was inducted into military service on June 24, 1918 as a Private at Crosby, North Dakota and was issued a Serial Number of 2,704,624.  He was initally assigned to "163 Dep Brig."  On July 13, 1918 he was transferred to "MG Co 352 Inf" until discharge.  From August 14, 1918 to June 3, 1919 he served overseas.  On June 13, 1919 he was honorably discharged as a Private.  Hans recieved no wounds or injuries in action and was reported as 0% disabled at that time.
