John A. Anderson

John was born in Minneapolis to Gilbert and Agnes Anderson. He attended Northfield Public Schools, living in Northfield his entire life. John entered the service in 1930. His basic training was at Fort Monmouth, NJ. He was also stationed at Camp Robinson, AR and Fort Belvoire, VA. His overseas tour of duty included stints in North Africa, Germany, Japan and Korea. He served as a radio repairman and medical corpsman. He retired from the in 1953 after 23 years of service. He was also employed by Zanmiller Sheet Metal, Wimco and Lampert lumber yards.
He was a member of the Northfield VFW. He passed away August 6, 1990.
