Biography: 

John entered the service in December 1943. His basic training was in Farragut, ID. He took additional training in Shoemaker, CA. He was also stationed at San Diego, CA. He served on several vessels in the Pacific theater. He was awarded Asiatic-Pacific and American theater service ribbon plus the World War II Victory medal.
