Richard F. McKeag

Richard was drafted in to the army from Rice County, MN. He received basic training at Camp Chaffee, AR. He received additional training at Fort Ben. Harrison, ID. He was then deployed overseas to Taugu, South Korea having been depoloyed from Fort Mason, CA. He served in a unit that constructed and maintained air strips and facilities for the U.S. Air Force. Richard was transfered to the reserves from Fort Riley. He was awarded the National Defense Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
