Biography: 

Bob entered the service in 1944. His basic training was at Sheepshead Bay, NY. He took additional training at Gallups Island, MA. He served as a radio operator on several tankers delivering fuel to US Bases. He survived a mid-ocean sinking. He was awarded the Merchant Marine Emblem and the Atlantic War Zone.
