Biography: 

Roger entered the service in February 1944. His basic training was at Fort Hood, TX. He took additional training at Fort Meade, SD. He was also stationed at Fort Ord, CA. His overseas tour of duty included stints in the Philippines and Japan. He served as a cook. He was awarded a Battle Star.
