William Morson

William was born August 2, 1929, in Mankato, Minnesota, to Nick and Caroline Morson. He attended Loyota High School. In 1946 he joined the U.S. Army and served in Germany until 1948. He was recalled in June 1950 and served in Korea - recieveing his honorable discharge in February 1955. He returned to Mankato and worked a few years as meat manager for National Tea Grocery Store. In 1958 he began working as a meat manager for Mueller's Red and White Stores. In 1968 he moved to Kasson where he worked as a meat cutter for Erdmann's. In 1969 he moved back to Northfield and worked as the first meat manager for Erickson's Grocery Store. Bill was a member of the Northfield American Legion, and AA. he was also a member and Past Commander of the Northfield VFW.
